If you are taking a trip to Las Vegas, do not skip a trip to ROSE. RABBIT. LIE. in the Cosmopolitan. This was hands down THE. BEST. SHOW. EVER. (insert jazz hands). The bar itself is reminiscent of something straight out of The Great Gatsby. The whole experience starts upon entering the front door and continues nonstop from there.
We already ate dinner so we entered on the bar side of the venue. It is a three sectioned phenomenon. It starts with a bar complete with piano, a restaurant with a rotating stage and ends with a theater area with theater style seating. All three sections are separated with walls but you can sneak a peek into the next room through windows. Their cocktail menu is original and Mr. C. was able to try something with absinthe, something he’s been wanting to do for some time. This is top shelf and not something we would have everyday. But we were in Vegas, so why not.
As we waited for the next show to start, acts would rotate in and out of the bar and restaurant areas. The entire venue is literally a comedic, dramatic, three-ring circus without the animals. No one could say that boredom set in there.
The show itself was one of the most well thought out acts I have ever seen. It was part play, part slapstick, part rock concert and part variety show. Nothing had ANYTHING to do with the other, yet it all fit together. And toward the end, the message of the whole thing was revealed, and I’m not going to share the message. That would be a spoiler, you’ll just have to go see it for yourself.
